Toxic positivity

A lot of people can get caught up in the idea that we constantly need to be in a positive mindset. This is known as toxic positivity. Apart of your emotional healing journey is accepting all emotions, thoughts, and feelings. This includes any negative emotion that comes up. If we are always feeling like we need to be in a positive mindset, it causes us to push away the negative emotions, therefore repressing them further. We need to break the idea that negative thoughts = bad. Emotional healing is all about bringing up your repressed emotions, accepting, and feeling them. Remember, It's okay to feel! Stop avoiding parts of yourself ♡
